On 13th of July 2021, Maldives Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) met with Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). The meeting held at MMA headquarters was attended by the Governor and Chairperson Mr. Ali Hashim, Deputy Governor Mr. Ahmed Imad, MNCCI Vice President Asiya Azeema, board members Ismail Jumayyil Waheed and Ahmed Varish. It was a productive conversation between the two parties as MNCCI discussed the issues raised by MNCCI stakeholders. The issue with the black market dollar exchange rate was also brought forward and the need for an effective COVID-19 business recovery plan was also discoursed.
