On 7th July 2021, Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) held an online meeting with High Commissioner Caron Rohsler from the British Embassy. The meeting was joined by the President of MNCCI, Mudhrikath Moosa, Vice Presidents Ismail Asif, Asiya Azeema and board member Munal Shujau. Miss Caron Rohsler highlighted the issue about the current tariff percent on Maldivian tuna exported to the United Kingdom. She also expressed the need to address the issue of plastic ban in the Maldives and discussed how we can come with an effective plan to tackle the issue without damaging the businesses in the Maldives.
