Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Made in Maldives Original Product Logo has been launched on 9th July 2010. Different Craftsmen from different atolls attended the remarkable ceremony. The event was live telecasted by Television Maldives. Being aware that the Intellectual Property rights law has not still been implemented in Maldives, thus recognizing the need for authentication of made in Maldives original products, to prevent the craftsmanship in Maldives and Handicraft Industry in general MNCCI launched the certification process by using MNCCI logo.
