The Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry had the privilege of meeting with the Ambassador of Kosovo, Lulzim Pllana, and Mr. Guner Ureya, Director for Asia and Oceania, to discuss opportunities for strengthening economic and commercial relations between the Maldives and Kosovo.
The meeting focused on identifying avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation in the business sector, with particular emphasis on promoting trade, investment, and private sector engagement. Discussions explored opportunities to facilitate business partnerships, encourage two-way investment, and expand commercial exchanges between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to the potential for increasing Maldivian exports to Kosovo while also exploring import opportunities that would benefit businesses in both markets. The dialogue highlighted the importance of creating stronger linkages between the respective business communities to unlock new opportunities for trade and investment.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both sides to fostering closer economic ties and supporting initiatives that encourage sustainable business growth, increased market access, and mutually beneficial commercial cooperation. The Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry looks forward to continued engagement with its counterparts in Kosovo to facilitate stronger business connections and contribute to the development of long-term economic partnerships between the two countries.
