The opening ceremony of Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Holiday inn Male Science Exhibition 2010 has been held. The ceremony was held in Aminiya School on 9th June 2010. The political advisor to the president Mr. Hassan Afeef attended and addressed as the guest of honour of the ceremony.
In his remarks Mr. Afeef highlighted the importance of science in this modern world and how it can benefit Maldives for the generations ahead. Further in his speech he thanked the management of MNCCI and Holiday Inn Male’ for taking the initiative and organizing science exhibition 2010, since it has been almost more than nine years after the latest science exhibition that has been held in Maldives. Vice President of MNCCI Mr. Ismail Asif and Executive House keeper of Holiday Inn Male’ attended and addressed the opening session. Many government officials, businessmen and teachers, students and parents from all participating schools attended the ceremony and tour the exhibition. The exhibition will last for three days starting from 9th to 11th of June.
