The Chamber deeply regrets the cancellation of this year’s night market held annually in the capital Male over the lack of cooperation from the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure in securing a venue for the much anticipated event slated for November 2017.

Despite giving the necessary permission to hold the night market, the designated Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure liaison had not offered any cooperation to ensure the success of an event of such magnitude.

The Chamber had opened slots for the annual event originally planned to be held on November 15, 2017. Fortunately, no payments had been collected that has ensured no interested party had suffered any losses over the cancellation.

The Chamber however, is pleased to announce that the night market would be held next year of which the details would be announced in due course.
